I have never been to the beach, so I don't know if I could give you an accurate description of it. I assume it's warm--unless you think going to the beach in the wintertime would be a pleasant event. I also assume it's sandy, and damp. The ocean crashes onto the shore every so often, lulling the tanners to sleep. If you're lucky, I'm sure you'll be able to find a shell that has "captured" that sound, and take it home with you, as token of remembrance.

But is this a cliche description? Is that how all beaches are?

I wish I knew. Perhaps I'll stumble upon the knowledge as I swim through life.

You know, I think I'll add "beach explorer" to my growing collection of creative dreams. I'll explore every beach, travel the world, collecting bits of sand from each one I visit in tiny, separate jars. I'll collect shells too, and different techniques on how to deal with sunburn.\

Yes.

I shall discover and explore the beach.

  1. Yeah, that's what the beach is like. I want to live under a dock when the tide is low and just stay there, with the sand burning my feet and the salty smell all around me.
    But that's just me. -.-

  2. You have summed the beach up so much better than I could and I have been so many times I have lost count.
Living in Australia, there are beaches all around where I live and so we go at least once or twice a year.

  3. My favorite thing about beaches is how different they can be. What you've described here is lovely - the gulf shore with white sand and crystal water. Peaceful and warm and inviting. It really is a wonderful experience. But I think my favorite beaches are the Outer Banks of North Carolina. They're wild beaches. Crashing waves, rocky shorelines, crushed up shells instead of sand. Cold water and rough weather. Wild horses running up and down the coastline. Just as lovely as the pristine tropical beaches, but in such a unique, powerful way. :)

  4. Beaches are so beautiful. :) And I don't know how long you've had this design because I've been working at camp, but me likes it muchly. :)

  5. I've hated the beach for as long as I can remember, but now I'm starting to like it more and more. (I should seriously learn how to swim decently. XD)

May I ask for your [honest] opinion?

via Alrighty. I recently just completed my one hundredth blog design order [insert celebratory balloons, glitter cannons, and thrown pies here]. ;} And I was talking to my mother about this in the car, to and from the store. Basically, what she said was; "You've been doing your designs for a long time, right? So why don't you start charging for your services?" This got me thinking, and in my eyes, I feel as though charging for my designs would probably make me feel like I'm getting cocky, and too proud of my work, yah know? But I wanted to ask you guys, my honest readers; do YOU think my services are worth spending money on? Like seriously. If you wanted a new design would you choose me, even if it cost you ten dollars? I know most of it is just a matter of opinion. Every designer has their own way of doing things. Their own unique style. It all depends on what the "order-er" wants. I'd like to know if I have the capabilities of giving s...

So this is where I'm at.

Hi friend. How are you? I hope this post meets you well. Today I wanted to write about this little space. My corner of the Internet. After many attempts to give it a major face lift / rebrand / vibe / mission I figured out that the girl I was in 2012 when I originally started this blog is no longer who I am. So let's start fresh. Hi, I'm Rosie. I am a college student and a creator of many crafts. I enjoy writing Young Adult fiction, playing piano, singing at the top of my lungs, and, above all, making other people laugh. Right now I am pursuing a degree in art therapy, which means my future job will be  helping people express themselves in a safe environment with someone who loves them.  I have tried to be many things on the Internet, from an American Girl doll hoarder to a make-up artist, but nothing has really clicked with me. Not until now. I have always been a Christian. My entire life I have identified as being a follower of Jesus Christ. But the thing ab...

Room Tour 2019

I've always wanted to do one of these posts. If not for the enjoyment of others, for the enjoyment of my future self to look back on and realize how much my style and space have changed. My door. I think I'm sooo artsy for taping paint swatches to my door. And I actually love how it looks too. I was going for "Starry Night" with my own little twist -- and without the actual paint. ;) This is what my room looks like from the doorway. Can you guess what the theme is? It's funny -- a few weeks ago I was discussing with Kenzie how my room has this coral and aquamarine vibe to it, yet my Instagram theme is focused on yellows and blues, and my actual fashion style is very grungy/hispter/artsy. So it all comes full circle, I guess? Still, I love my room. It's my safe haven. Now come on in so I can give you the full tour... Right as you walk in, you will see my DIY jewelry hanging on the wall to your right. It's quite a balancing act when I ...
